ABOUT ECLIPSE, MENTIONED IN GEORGII HAMARTOLI CHRONICA

Georgiy Gamartoli in his "Chronica" (2) writes:

"In 20-th year Constantin and Licinius (i.e. near 325) has occurred earthquake in Italian Campanii, which were ruined 13 cities, and solar eclipse in 3-m hour of day so star on sky were seen".

This is also in Georg the Monk in its "World Chronica" . It pertains it to year a death full-grown Konstantina Eleny 325-326 and to Nicea cathedral 325-326.

This in (4) under number 50.

Konstantin beganned to rule in 305 in together with some corulers, including with Liciniem. 20-y year of its rule - this approximately 325. Single that want to notice that according to (3), str.665, by then Licini already was not its coruler.

About Nicea cathedral 325-326 remained much little to information. There is opinion
that it is partial or full copy second Nicea cathedral, which tooked place in 787.

On Krasilinikov's shall write in table (1) all eclipses, which could be during these period. Happen to the eclipses with phase not less 0.5.

From afore-cited table is seen that eclipse, taken place 787/09/16, much well approaches under description. It existed exactly per annum second Nicea cathedral in 787 and for the best was observed from italian Rome and other areas an Italy.
