"It was in east emperor Zeno times.
Marino Neapolitano in his life description of neoplatonical or, more precisely, usual platonical philosoph Procl,(2) (3, 66) which name means beforehearing (from greek procluo) says:
"Before his death year was held sky signs, for example, solar eclipse, which was so strong that night appeared in day, because became deepest darkness, and stars became visible. This was held in Kozerog sign (i.e. after december 20 and till january 20 - Morozov's comment), on the eastern part of sky (before afternoon). Calendar workers mark and other eclips, which must be held after the end of first year (after Procl's death, Morozov's notation)"".
There are mentiones two circunstances:
1 - before year of Procl's death was complete eclipse in Kozerog on eastern part of sky before afternoon
2 - calendar workers mark other eclipse (theoretically foretellind, but not necessary visible) in year after Procl's death.
Hence we obtain problem of two solar eclipses: first was complete visible from Athens before afternoon, and second was thereticlly eventual after two-three years after the first.
Morozov's text continue:
"Philosoph "Forehearing", borned according to historical tradition in Bisantiz in 412, teached in Athena school philosophy. "He - as say us - was Plutarch's and Sirian's supporter". Marino was next in Athen's cathedra ..." and, according Morozov, writes about him many glamour. "But, solar eclipse described by him was precisely. Namely so was held in year before Procl's death in year 487. Sun then rised in Athens as sickle and complete phase became in 10 minuts after rising....
.. Second predicted eclipse must be eclips 19 may 496, considered, that Procl dead in 485".
Nonsense is obvious.
Author computed by Krasilnikov's canon all eclipses, which was visible
form Athens. Further was selected all eclipses pares, satisfying proble
conditions. Range of years was from 1000 BC till 1400 AD. You can see it
