ABOUT ECLIPSES MENTIONED IN CHRONICA GALLICA

1. In Morozov (1) on p. 311 in chapter I-I  is going about two eclipses mentioned in Chronica Gallica which he thought as about one:

""Olympiad  295.3. Year VIII of Arcady and Honory. Sun damage was held (2, a.452),(4, 59)" Once more "Year  VII of Arcady and Honory. Sun eclipse was held". (2, a.511)"

Morozov thought thats information about the same eclipse which was held in 11 November 402. We shall solute this problem according to Krasilnikov's canon when was eclipses in years N, N+1.

For this problem solution was calculated the list of eclipses observed from the Marsel and we shall show the rows from it in year range from -500 till +1300 in table 1. The attention was payed to eclipses with phase no less  0.7.

Everyone from abovementioned pair passes and each of them is equalright as the problem solution. Eventually we must be agree with Morozov thats is Chronica Gallica one and the same eclipse is described twice. Morozov's opinion: is going about eclipse 11 November 402.

It's characteristically thats from Constantinopol and Roma blocks of two eclipses in two consequent years was observed more often then from Marsel.

Eventually from this that one and the same eclipse in this chronicle was mentioned twice we can conclude thats this information was rewrote from the different sources. I.e. this chronica isn't the original text but it's compilation.

2. In his chronicle once more is mentioned one eclipse. In Morozov oabout it is going on p.316 in chapter I-II and about it is going in Hydatii, in Philostorgii's church history, Chronica Paschale and Annales Chronograph. Veter. In Chronica Gallica is write so:

"Olimpiad 300.1 in 26-th Arcady's and Honory's emperor years Sun defest was held".

The eclipse date isn't mentioned. Neverthless the relatively chronology is true so we shall agree with Morozov's conclusions about eclipse held in 19 July 418.
